WHI 2002 and What It Got Wrong

Hot Flashes, Night Sweats, and Vaginal Symptoms
Hot flashes and night sweats are the primary symptom indication. FDA-approved estradiol formulations are among the most effective treatments available for vasomotor symptoms. Local vaginal estrogen therapy also reliably addresses genitourinary syndrome of menopause — vaginal dryness, discomfort with intercourse, urinary symptoms. "Bioidentical hormones have no cancer risk." False. All hormone therapy carries risks that must be weighed against benefits.
